How long does a treatment take?


It is a 2-step process. The first Appointment is 2hrs. As the brows heal everyone retains different amounts of pigment. Sometime the area can heal slightly patchy looking or can fade more than anticipated. The second appointment is 6 weeks after the initial application and is about 1 hr. It is very important to complete 2 visits. At the second appointment we can make any small changes we need to the colour or shape.




How long can I expect it to last after the touch up?


The brow is semi-permanent, so it will begin to noticeably fade after 12-24 months. The fading is very gradual. If after care advice is followed the client will need to expect a touch up annually to keep the brows fresh looking. Any appointments made after 24 months post treatment are full price.




Does it hurt?


A topical anesthetic is used to keep you as comfortable as possible. You may feel slight pressure or a small amount of irritation. Afterwards, the area can be a little sore for the first few hours and then tender to the touch for up to a couple of days.




Am I a suitable candidate?


You are NOT a suitable candidate for this procedure if you are: ~ Pregnant or nursing ~ History of keloids or Hypertrophic Scarring ~ Diabetic (require Doctors Clearance) ~ Chemotherapy (consult your Doctor) ~ Viral Infections or diseases ~ Epilepsy ~ Pacemaker or Major heart problems ~ Organ Transplant ~ Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area ~ Botox or filler in the past 2 weeks ~ Accutane in the past year ~ Heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure ~ Poor general health ~ Any medication that compromises your immune system or thins the blood




What will it look like immediately after the procedure?


Your may be a little swollen, red and sometimes a bit white. This is all very normal. They will be considerably darker for the first week and then will soften to a natural looking, beautiful color in 1-3 weeks.




What if I already have permanent make up done by another technician?


No problem. We can try our best to help. Please note it is a full price appointment and not a touch up. We DO NOT preform touch ups on other technician’s work. Generally, there’s some shape and color correction that may need to be done. Also, please be aware that our abilities may be limited depending on the quality of work that’s already in your skin.




What kinds of Payment do you accept?


We accept cash, Debit or e-transfer. NO CREDIT CARDS at this time. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due at time of booking. Please send e-transfers to vpvelvetpearl@gmail.com





Before & After Care

VP pre-appointment instructions 
  • Please DO wax, tweeze, trim, tint your natural brows into the shape you normally like to have them. Do this at least 48hrs before your appointment if you’d like. It is not necessary.

  • Do NOT take any aspirin, Ibuprofen or consume alcohol the day before procedure. Please avoid excessive caffeine intake before your appointment as it can thin the blood

  • STOP taking the following supplements for one week before treatment: Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, Ginko Biloba, and St. John’s Wort. These Vitamins contribute to thinning the blood and also may affect the anesthetic effect. You may resume taking your vitamins after treatment.

  • Ensure that you are in good overall health. No cold or flu

  • Lip tattoo please exfoliate lip area daily and keep lips extremely moisturized. If you are prone to cold sores, taking a prescription anti viral pill for at least 4 days prior to appointment as well as during healing is mandatory. This procedure can cause flare-ups

  • Eyeliner Tattoo  - For top liner, please have eyelash extensions removed prior to appointment. Bottom only liner, eyelash extensions are ok to have on. Please come to the appointment eye make up free if possible.

Important after care 

How you take care of your new eyebrows over the next 7 days will strongly contribute to it’s healing, color retention, final appearance and longevity.

  • The color immediately after will appear very sharp and dark but will soften and fade considerably as the healing process concludes. Please prepare yourself for this. A touch up is mandatory 6 weeks post-initial treatment.

  • With a clean tissue or cotton round, softly blot any Lymph (clear fluid secreted by your body after mild injury to skin) every 30 min for a few hours after treatment

  • If needed, gently apply a rice size amount of cream provided at night only. Do not rub or scrub

  • Do not apply any other oils, creams, ointments or makeups for 10-12 days or until area is fully healed

  • Avoid excessive moisture to the brow area while healing

  • Do NOT pick flaking or Scabbing. This can result in a loss of pigment and scaring. Please refrain from touching the tattoo area to avoid possible infection.

  • Avoid Pools, Jacuzzis, tanning, excessive sweating, long showers, facials and saunas for at least 10 days after procedure or until the tattoo area is fully healed. Avoid any skin creams containing Retin-A or any kind of skin peel on the tattooed area as they will fade and possibly distort them.

  • Once fully healed sunscreen should always be applied

  • Requires a $100 non-refundable deposit at time of booking.

  • Deposit will count towards the total amount left owing at the appointment

  • No refunds will be given.  There is no guarantee and results will vary from client to client based on your age, life style, metabolism, skin type and aftercare of the person treated

  • Some skin types may require additional follow up treatments with appropriate fees

  • A 6-week colour boost touch up appointment is mandatory

  • Deposit is transferable to another day with at least 72hrs notice

  • Deposit is non-transferable from person to person. If you choose to cancel your appointment the deposit is forfeited.

  • If you have pervious work from another technician it is full price. DO NOT book for touch up. We do not touch up other technicians work.  It’s a complete re-do.

Late/Cancelation/re-schedule
  • If you are more than 15 min late it may result in your appointment being cancelled and deposit being forfeited.

  • If you need to cancel your appointment please provide a minimum of 72hrs notice. If you’d like to re-book at the time of cancelation (72hrs prior to appointment) your deposit will be transferred over to your new appointment.
